Latest Desktop Picture Frame 4.1 beta (build 4.1.3707.39430) bug-fixes and changes

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Bugs found and fixed:

  • only one image is dropped from several that has been dragged on drag and drop over image list;
  • target image stays selected after paste from clipboard;
  • images paste after target image;
  • rare artifact – some image pixels (regions) become transparent at 100% opacity;
  • “Apply to all portrait/landscape images” button (placed on “Setup frames and caption options” window) does not update according to current image;
  • current frame name (placed on “Setup frames and caption options” window) does not update on frame select;
  • image, that has been displayed last, reappears after closing Options pages if image list is empty.

Changes made:

  • autoupdate system now performs overwriting of frameset files that are in use by the program (i.e. current frame and frame definitions);
  • slide-show begins from the last added image while in the reverse show order;
  • installer made ready for handling additional framesets that will come as separate install packages;
  • frames of polaroid format is replaced with frames of habitual format;
  • new frames are included in framesets.

Changes and bug fixes will be introduced in Desktop Picture Frame 4.1 production release.

Current image is corrupted after increasing it’s size as it shown below:
And current image stays completely invisible until next one activated. This appears only on Vista, XP is ok. I don’t have a report yet whether the program behaves on Windows 7 similarly.
This bug is fixed now.
